Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms are an agreement between you and EkDoTeen ("we", "us"), which runs the Hindi learning app at app.ekdoteen.com, this website and its blog. By using EkDoTeen you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.

The service

EkDoTeen helps you learn spoken Hindi with vocabulary, grammar lessons, conversations, practice exercises and notes on culture, and publishes articles about learning Hindi on its blog. It is free to use. We may add, change or remove features, lessons and articles at any time, and we can't promise EkDoTeen will always be available or free of mistakes.

Your account

  • You can use EkDoTeen without an account. Your progress then stays on your device.
  • If you create an account, use an email address that belongs to you, keep your password to yourself, and contact us if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You must be at least 13. If you are under 16, or under the age at which you can consent to online services where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
  • An account is for one person. You are responsible for what is done with it.

Using EkDoTeen fairly

Please don't:

  • try to get into someone else's account or data, or get around the app's or the website's security;
  • copy, scrape or republish the lessons or the blog in bulk, or use them to build another product;
  • overload or disrupt the service, or take it apart beyond what the law allows;
  • use the feedback form to send anything unlawful, abusive or misleading.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Our content

The lessons, exercises, articles, texts, design and the EkDoTeen name belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial learning, and you're welcome to link to and quote short parts of our articles with a link back.

About the lessons and articles

EkDoTeen is a learning tool. We work to keep translations, pronunciation hints and cultural notes accurate, but they can contain mistakes, and nothing in the app or on the blog is professional, legal, medical or religious advice. Words are read aloud by your device's own speech voices, which vary in quality.

Your feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve EkDoTeen without owing you anything for them.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Stopping

You can stop using EkDoTeen at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, and we may close EkDoTeen altogether. If we close it, we will give account holders reasonable notice where we can.

Responsibility

EkDoTeen is provided as it is and as it is available. As far as the law allows, we give no promises about it beyond those in these terms, and we are not responsible for indirect losses or for lost learning progress.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence. If you use EkDoTeen as a consumer, you keep every right that the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live give you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell account holders in the app or by email before the changes apply. If you keep using EkDoTeen after that, the updated terms apply.

Law

If you use EkDoTeen as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live apply to these terms, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Before going to court, please contact us: most problems can be solved quickly.
